What we do
Robust Testing Solutions offers:
- Air tightness testing of dwellings – to ATTMA TS L1 to meet Approved Document L1A requirements and ATTMA TSL4 for low energy scheme (e.g. PassivHaus)
- Air tightness testing of buildings other than dwellings – to ATTMA TS L2 to meet Approved Document L2A/B requirements
- Air tightness consultancy including design reviews, pre-test inspections, benchmark/early testing, diagnosis of air leakage paths using air and/or smoke
- Air permeability testing of smoke shafts (for automatic opening vents)
- Acoustic / Sound Insulation Testing – to ISO 140-4 & ISO 140-7 to meet Approved Document E requirements plus BB93 for schools and HTM-08 for healthcare
- Air flow rate measurement of domestic ventilation (extractor fan testing) for Approved Document F
- Infra-red Thermography (provided through a third party)
- SAP/SBEM Calculations and Energy Performance Certificates (provided through a third party)

Who We Are
Robust Testing Solutions is led by Scott Bartholomew, Steve Hayden and Tom Gregory each of whom has more than 10 years’ experience in site testing buildings for air tightness and sound insulation.
Our team of test engineers are based around the South East of England and are able to complete different types of testing on the same visit to keep costs and disruption to a minimum.
Robust Testing Solutions Ltd is owned by the same people as Air Leakage Testing Ltd so they work closely together as and when required to provide resources, expertise and services.
Customer Promises
We believe we offer the best service at the best price and operate to a Customer Charter to back this up:
1. Testing conducted within a maximum of 10 working days from request to attend site Unless the client has requested a later date
2. Test certificates issued within 1 working day of completing testing.
3. RTS will beat any comparable quote by at least 10% Based upon a copy of the competitor’s quotation being provided
4. Testing conducted by ATTMA Registered Testers in full compliance with ATTMA Technical Standards and Approved Document L requirements.
5. If the tested building/unit doesn’t achieve the required result, leakage paths will be demonstrated to client staff on site or recorded using a snagging list and/or photos where the problems cannot be resolved on the same visit.
6. RTS staff will be punctual, professional and courteous at all times.
7. Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures will be fully complied with at all times.
Failure to adhere to the above commitments will mean that any test visits affected will not be charged for.
